Over the past two or so years I’ve become really obsessed with making my home cozy and trying my best to feel comfortable. So like most people I found hygge. I’ve become a little obsessed and can be heard saying “this is so hygge” at least a few times a week. So this year I decided make a gift guide to focus on hygge related items for other hygge lovers out there. I know hygge is a feeling that cannot be bought, but sometimes little thoughtful items like these can bring a smile on someone’s face whether that is for Christmas or any other occasion.
Hygge, pronounced hoo-ga, is a craze that has spread from its home in Denmark across the world. It’s a coziness feeling that comes from feeling warmth and happiness. It’s about indulging when you want to, and living the life you want. I’ve put together a gift guide for hygge lovers but, despite wanting you to get some great gifts for your friends and family, just remember that hygge isn’t about buying things just to buy them. That’s very un-hygge.
But, this list has some great items to add some hygge to your holidays, hygge to your home or even to your travels.
You can also see my post on what hygge is to brush up on your coziness.
Here are a few things I know I would appreciate receiving. I hope it will help you to make this period less stressful so you can focus on making memories instead of running around shopping:

It’s a great little read and can also be listened to on audible if you want to add in another element of listening to Meik read it himself in his perfect Danish accent.
